Nada Al-Haj Omar, better known as “Bandi Cairo” is a self made woman. She was able to dig her way along the road to celebrity and fame. She jumped from the world of media to fashion designing business. She participated in so many exhibitions outside Sudan and represented her homeland in the best manner through her elegant and beautiful products. She said that the idea emerged from the availability of the natural leather in Sudan. She said that she was pushed by her patriotism and her love to her beloved Sudan to introduce leather in all her works. From her experience during living abroad, she knows that the foreigners love the natural leather. She represented Sudan in the exhibition of the “Sudanese Thobe” in Jeddah. She produced a new style of the Sudanese Thobe after adding leather to it. Her product in Jeddah amazed the audience, especially the Saudi females. Her design won the prize and it was named “the king”. She also designed new style of Sudanese gold works after adding some Sudanese beads to it.
She attributed her success to her mother and husband.
